I reduced my life to fit into a 200 square foot space. Took me 10 years to do it. I regret nothing. I have "things" that are out and bring me joy or utility. But as I age I find I don't need my house to reflect me because I reflect myself, who I am now; not who I was 30 years ago. And that is a serious transition that I learned to make in retirement. Took a couple of years to get settled with that and now I am in love with myself again.
